Each of the six stages has its own flavour. The largest of them, the Vodafone Dub and Roots stage boasts a truly epic line-up, with Shapeshifter joined by the legendary TrinityRoots, Tiki, Katchafire, Six60 and Salmonella Dub.

The Jim Beam Rock line-up see’s the first performance in two years from Blindspott, throw in The Feelers, Midnight Youth, Elemeno-P, The Checks, I Am Giant and Black River Drive and you’ve got a wall to wall day of Kiwi rock.

On the new Vodafone Pop and RnB stage a plethora of talent comes to Homegrown for the first time, with Dane Rumble headlining an all-star outing that includes J Williams, Savage vs. Scribe, Nesian Mystik, PNC, Kidz in Space, Ivy Lies, Motocade, DJ Logikal and hotly-tipped Wellington quartet Supermodel.

It will be an indie-licious day at the Red Bull Studio stage as Flying Nun legends The Clean share a massive bill with The Phoenix Foundation, Die! Die! Die, Cairo Knife Fight, The Ruby Suns, Family Cactus, Artisan Guns and an assortment of electro, pop and hip hop from Kids of 88, Tommy Ill and Coco Solid.

And it certainly doesn’t let up on the Nokia Electronic stage with State of Mind’s live show joining the genre defining sound of The Upbeats, Dubstep pioneer; Optimus Gryme and the fresh global sounds of Maya and Vanya, Dick Johnson, Tim Phin and Clarke Gayford.

Last but not least the free to the public Amphitheatre stage features the country’s premier 3 on 3 breakdancing competition with a mix of good time grooves from Sunshine Soundsystem, Jayson Norris and Brazilbeat Sound System.

Wellington Hurricanes 2011 Home Games, Wellington Accommodation

Wellington Hurricanes 2011Support the Hurricanes in their quest for glory this 2011 Investec Super Rugby season. The draw started on 18 February and concludes on 18 June. The Hurricanes play six home games at Westpac Stadium in Wellington, plus one home match in Napier and one in Palmerston North.

The Hurricanes represents the East Coast, Poverty Bay, Hawke's Bay, Taranaki, Wanganui, Manawatu, Wairarapa-Bush, Horowhenua-Kapiti and Wellington unions in the 2011 Investec Super Rugby competition. The franchise is New Zealand’s largest 2011 Investec Super Rugby franchise with a catchment area of 920,000 people from the central and lower North Island.

Now in its 6th year, the 2011 Investec Super Rugby competition is widely considered the finest provincial rugby competition in the world. Its unique blend of Pacific flair, Afrikaans power and Australian tenacity has not only successfully bridged the amateur and professional eras, but captured a new generation of fans like nothing else before it.

Crowd participation at home games is always an amazing sight, with many Wellingtonians wholeheartedly supporting their team. Faces are painted yellow and black, banners are brought out and the camaraderie in the colosseum-like Westpac Stadium spectators are encouraged to wear as much yellow as possible at home games to ‘Yellow Out' the Stadium.
