We have chosen WHHF as our charity this Xmas. We developed the Gingerbread House concept because it serves to not only produce funds for the charity, but to communicate what the charity is about and make it fun. 2010 is the first year of our Gingerbread House challenge and as a result stocks are limited - next year we will see this grow bigger.

Wellington Children’s Hospital is to undergo a major redevelopment and Wellington Hospital and Health Foundation is raising funds to support this redevelopment. Funds raised will assist to provide world-class medical facilities and enable an upgrade of the warm and child-friendly environment within the existing Children’s Hospital - you can help by purchasing a “Gingerbread House Kit”. Or donate directy to the Wellington Children's Hospital Christmas Appeal online.

The number of children who have passed through Wellington Children’s Hospital last year exceeded 32,000. Wellington Children’s Hospital is a tertiary hospital with patients coming from an area whose population is 900,000. The hospitals catchment area included Taranaki across to Hawkes Bay, Wairarapa, Manawatu, Wellington and Nelson/ Malborough in the South Island. For further information visit www.whhf.org.nz.

1. Throughout the competition we will provide updates and helpful information via our Prime Hotels Charity Page on Facebook. To enter your Gingerbread House creation or follow the competition simply click the "like" button.

2. Visit the Gingerbread House Challenge 2010 event and click "I'm Attending". Now you can upload your photos to our wall. Feel free to view all the entries in the photo gallery and "Like" your favourite Gingerbread Houses.

If for some reason you're unable to join our Facebook, you may email your entry. For the purposes of the contest your entry may be used on our page.
